Fodor's Review

Behind an imposing granite facade with steep rooflines reflecting the towering Hautes Pyrénées to the south, the ample and sunny guest rooms in this spacious château-like hotel built in 1902 overlook the rushing Gave (river) de Gavarnie. Floor-to-ceiling windows and gleaming tile floors provide an airy atmosphere, while the breakfast terrace out front is the ideal way to start a day in the mountains. Views over the Cirque de Gavarnie and the 3,250-meter (10,725-foot)

Marboré peak beyond are mesmerizing.
