Fodor's Review

Jazz, art deco ironwork, and caged birds set the Latin tone at this bohemian, family-run, shabby-chic urban hotel. Whitewash and scrubbed concrete set off 1930s details and trendy flea-market finds. Bathrooms have new-ish tiles, and amenities are reasonably up-to-date. The house-proud owners are eager to please and its Spanish restaurant serves easy-to-eat tapas on the pedestrian Place d'Assas, but the lobby bar is where you'd expect to run across Picasso slumming over

absinthe.
