Within the rampart walls, close to the Tour de Constance and just off Place St-Louis, this homey little hotel warms its medieval construction of cool stone with Provençal charm and comfort. Guest rooms, with strong floral accents and scattered antiques, are pleasantly decorated if not stylish. They look out on the flower-filled garden below the ramparts or onto the sunny street. In winter, dinner is served in the small white-washed and beamed restaurant, known for its

fresh produce and grilled bull steak, and in summer, in the shady garden.
