Les Arcades Review

Long a success as an upscale seafood restaurant, this beautifully preserved 16th-century house also has large, airy guest accommodations, some with tall windows overlooking a green courtyard. Pristine white-stone walls, color-stained woodwork, and rubbed-ocher walls frame antiques and lush fabrics. Classic cooking includes monkfish in saffron sauce, poached turbot in hollandaise sauce, and the house specialty: hot oysters in a creamy herb-butter sauce. Breakfast (extra) can be eaten on the little terrace by the pool.
