In a town as gentrified as Lourmarin, it's surprising to find such a bargain as this B&B set in a 17th-century house replete with antiques and enclosed garden. Mme Lassalette bought this former post house 16 years ago, and her decorator husband made the interior look as though it hadn't changed in centuries—the house has been featured in decorating magazines worldwide. Rabbits run free in the grassy garden, where breakfast (included in the price) is sometimes served. There is no pool, but guests have been known to cool off their feet in the fountain.
