Mas des Carassins Review

A textbook example of a Provençal mas, this rambling 19th-century farmhouse—replete with stonework walls and wrought-iron canopy beds—has an impressive amount of style. But the gardens are so attractive that you may want to spend most of your time outside, surrounded by thyme bushes, pots of lemon and orange trees, fountains, pools, and centuries-old olive trees; if the season permits you can enjoy a memorable dinner on the outside terrace. A second residence houses eight guest rooms that maintain the contemporary-meets-modern high-style theme.
