Book NowLe Pigonnet Review
Cézanne painted Ste-Victoire from what is now the large flower-filled terrace of this enchanting abode, and you can easily visualize former guests like Princess Caroline, Iggy Pop, and Clint Eastwood swanning their way through the magnificent, pool-adorned, topiary-accented garden of this luxurious, old-world, country-style hotel. Spacious and filled with light, each guest room is a marvel of decoration: baby-soft plush rugs, beautifully preserved antique furniture, rich colors of burnt reds, autumn yellows, and delicate oranges. The restaurant's terrace spills out onto a sculpted green, but the inside dining salon is equally pleasant on a rainy day, thanks to its softly draped yellow curtains, dazzlingly elegant chandeliers, and large picture windows. For sheerest Provençal luxe, this place can't be beat. Breakfast is extra.

giles, from london
There were no high priced rooms available so we opted for the cheapest they had. It was July. But still. Surely they can do better. Dark grim poky little flock papered dungeons overlooking the car park with cheap fittings. Like staying in a 50 euros french B&B. The gardens here are beautiful, but fodors neglect to tell you that there is a four lane highway running directly beside these beautiful gardens. The traffic thunders past all day. The dinner was OK, but not exceptional. The decor down in the communal parts is ham fisted and truly shocking. So kitsch. Strange wax work dolls and small still lifes of straw and violins. Looked like a serial killers horror museum. The fittings throughout are cheap and nasty. Most of the staff terrible. We had to carry our bags. Don't bother.
