You reach your table through the kitchen, bustling with chopping, sizzling, and wafting scents, which is a nice introduction to what awaits. The cooking is serious—Provençal specialties such as rouget (red mullet) with pureed potatoes, caillette d'agneau (lamb baked in herbs), and quite possibly the best-ever crème brûlée; and the four set menus, priced from €15 (lunch only) to €34, will surely appeal to all appetites. Vintage magic posters bring the old Arles stone-and-beam interior up to date for a memorably pleasant experience.
