The Eiffel Tower is around the corner, but the real draw here is the bustling pedestrian street market, one of the city's finest, just outside the hotel's front door. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the bistro-style breakfast room next to the reception desk has hot- and cold-drink machines. Rooms have simple furnishings and ceiling fans. Pros: prime location on a popular market street; budget singles if you don't mind a shared shower. Cons: only upper floors have been recently renovated; air-conditioning only available from June to September.

Very poor commercial attitude / Penny pitcher- skinflint-niggard for the breakfast / many better hotels in the area Muguet, Valadon, Champs de Mars...
