Hôtel Raspail-Montparnasse

Fodor's Review:

Rooms are named after the artists who made Montparnasse the art capital of the world in the 1920s and '30s—Picasso, Chagall, and Modigliani. Pay a bit extra—and reserve well in advance—for one of the three deluxe corner rooms, which have windows facing the Eiffel Tower. All are soundproofed, but none completely drown out the hum of traffic below. Pros: convenient location for métro and bus; many markets and cafés nearby; friendly staff. Cons: traffic noise; some smallish rooms.
