Fodor's Review

Simple furnishings and sunny colors warm up this small hotel, located on a quiet side street between Place d'Italie and the Latin Quarter. The hotel is not far from the famous market street Rue Mouffetard and just behind its namesake, the historic tapesty factory Manufacture des Gobelins. Some rooms overlook a small flower-filled garden, as does the lounge–breakfast room. Jamaican expat Jennifer Poirier runs the place with her French husband, Philippe. Their wholehearted

welcome is a big part of this hotel's draw.

Charming Hotel

I brought my son to Paris for a short three-day visit following his graduation from Culinary School. The hotel wasnt intended to be a highlight of our trip but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean, light and charming and we felt connected to a friendly neighborhood. Jennifer and Philippe had excellent recommendations for local restaurants and were able to get reservations for us on short notice. Most memorable is the fine boulangerie

just down the street! I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when in Paris.

Good value

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It was my home base for my trip, in 3 different rooms. A good value, but excessive noise from keys and slamming doors interrupted my sleep. My single room was narrow and plain, but very functional, with a fridge, perfect for my market purchases. The location was fine for me, steps away from a metro, 8 stops from the Louvre, 10 minutes from my fave market Mouffetard, & Place Monge, 20 min from Jardin du Luxumbourg,

the Pantheon, and a healthy walk to Ille de la Cite. Neighborhood is fine, except for tour groups meeting across from my window, very loud. I found the service on the cool side, also when asked about local cafes, I got only 2, and one was owned by a relative & not very good, avoid it. They should change the door/key situation. The doorknob spins freely & a key on a long L-shaped fob that banged against the doorjamb making a quiet entry impossible. Avoid double Room 17, @ 59e, as it is in the hall and you will hear every door on every level slam all night long. Room 12 is a double with a tub, & on the courtyard. 70e very nice. Overall, clean, and a good value.

I will definely go there again

Great room (I had the biggest, with my wife and two kids), not well located, but the metro is 10 meters away. Really clean and cheap. It was the best hotel in all my trip in Europe.
