Hôtel Notre Dame Review

If you love the quirky and eclectic fashions of Christian Lacroix and don't mind hauling your bags up some steps, this unique boutique hotel overlooking Notre Dame may be for you. Located up a steep flight of stairs from the busy Latin Quarter, this hotel is a kaleidescope of colors and fabrics. Carpets are made to resemble cobblestones or wood parquet. Some of the original wooden beams from the 17th-century building are incorporated into the decor. Corner rooms like No. 32 or No. 52 have large windows with the best views. Room 25 overlooks the airshaft, so a flatscreen TV with a live video feed of the cathedral has been added as a real-time "window." Every room has luxurious bedding, iPod docking stations, and extra-large showers. Do not confuse this place with the nearby Hotel de Notre Dame.
