La Boulangerie Review

In a former bakery spruced up with a bread-theme mural, this bistro within the shabby-chic neighborhood of Ménilmontant dishes up a great-value lunch menu for €15 (two courses) or €18 (three courses). Dinner is a still-reasonable €35, and the quality of the ingredients is admirable, even if the cooking can be inconsistent. Expect seasonal dishes like squash soup with spice-bread croutons, pot-roasted veal with root vegetables, and cannelés (eggy, caramelized cakes) with jasmine ice cream made on the premises. If you're exploring the area around Père Lachaise, you'd have a hard time finding a better French eatery.

A great find especially for tourists!

If you happen to be at Pere Lachaise area, this is an absolute must try for dinner. The service was superb. The waitress was kind enough to give us time to 'pause' between our cheese course and dessert. She was so considerate, seeing that I was quite full after the appetizer, main course and cheese course. It is also a very international destination, the evening of our dinner we saw some Chinese & German customers. The atmosphere is very French bistro, food presentation was nice. For Foie Gras lovers (like me), the fois gras served with pears is an absolute must. They start accepting dinner orders at 8pm. We arrived at 7:40pm and they were kind enough to take order for aperitif (drinks while waiting). It was perfect bec we had time to look through the list of menu. Good wine list. We paid around Euro 75 for 2 person dinner menu with 2 glasses of wine.
