Pierre Hardy completes the triumvirate (with Frisoni and Laboutin) of anointed Paris shoe designers. With a serious pedigree -- Dior, Hermès, Balenciaga -- Hardy opened his own boutique in 2003 and in a few short years made serious waves. The shoes are unmistakable: mile-high platforms and wedges double as sculptures with their breathtaking details. His sensational bags, introduced in 2006, became instant classics.
