Fodor's Review:
Hôtel du Nord was, in its heyday, the site of the classic Marcel Carne film of the same name. It's been spiffed up as a good restaurant with extremely vibrant lounge-bar action and is one of the more upscale spots in the mostly downscale Canal Saint-Martin district. It's well worth a visit.
