Hôtel de Roubaix

Fodor's Review:

Although this faded ghost hasn't updated its grandmotherly decor or creaky elevator in recent decades, it conveys an amiable coziness and charges unbeatable prices, especially given the location five minutes from Le Marais and the Centre Pompidou. Rooms are bright but basic, with large beds and walk-in showers. Pros: centrally located on a not-so-busy side street; typical old-fashioned Parisian character; good value. Cons: old and outdated decor; no bathtubs; no air-conditioning.
