Hôtel Duc de Saint-Simon Review

For pure French flavor, including rooms decorated in floral chintz, head to this intimate hotel in a hidden location between Boulevard St-Germain and Rue de Bac. Four of the antique-filled rooms have spacious terraces overlooking the courtyard. The 16th-century basement lounge is a warren of stone alcoves with a zinc bar and plush seating. Extra benefits include free Wi-Fi access and a shuttle service to and from the airports (additional cost).

    Hôtel Duc de Saint-Simon Review

I was initially given a room smelling of fresh paint as they're rehabbing. Hammering was common during the day. I was given another room because of the paint smell problem. It was delightful, although in need of dusting and a clock radio. The service was very nice until the last day when I discovered my room had been robbed of a bag full of my Paris purchases. The manager was rude and did nothing to help until I sat in their small lobby and didn't plan on moving until this was addressed. I was basically told I had left my bag in a shop and the chamber maid never saw a bag in my room. They made a bad situation worse and I was shocked at how the manager would treat a guest. Its a nice hotel until you have a problem, they will not help you and will treat you very badly. They took a small amount off of my bill but I am still out a lot of money.

    Hôtel Duc de Saint-Simon Review

We stayed for 3 nights over the 4th of July at this great little hotel. Staff was very helpfull and pleasant. Location is great(its near a Metro stop). Neighborhood is quiet, more residential. Room was nice, well appointed. Attention to detail was everywhere, decor, furnishings. I thought it was a good value for the price - nothing nice in Paris is inexpensive.
