$$$$, Quartier Latin
Fodor's Review:
The Napoleonic era meets North Africa in this moody den. The lobby is bedecked in scarlet drapery, tasseled lamps, and vintage photos of 19th-century sheiks. With only two rooms per floor, running into your neighbors is unlikely. The spacious rooms have boldly striped or patterned wall fabrics in deep red, sea-blue, black, tan, or beige, and are outfitted with king-size beds. Small but sumptuous baths are covered in black marble tile. If you plan a longer stay and would be better served by a guest room with kitchenette, check out the sister property across the street, the Hôtel Résidence des Arts.
