The facade of this Gothic church is an early example of the classical orders of decoration. The bottom columns are plain, sturdy Doric; the middle columns are the more elaborate Ionic; and the topmost columns are ornate Corinthian. There has been a church here since the 7th century. The present building went up between 1494 and 1598, making it one of the last Gothic constructions in the country.
