Fodor's Review:
The cutaway ziggurat of the Rex dominates this corner of the Boulevards. Usually showing first-run action movies in French, this classy Art Deco cinema is resolutely moderne. The original "Arabian Nights" auditorium, with its fake constellations and fountains, is meticulously maintained. In the basement, where there was once a kennel and nursery, there are now smaller projection rooms. If you're traveling with kids, you might want to take the 50-minute behind-the-scenes tour (English is available).
