Fodor's Review:
Founded in 1903 and patronized by literary lights like Marcel Proust and Gertrude Stein, Angélina is beloved for its irresistible (EUR 6.50) chocolat africain, a cup of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream. The darkened frescoes and mirrors are showing the tearoom's age, so although this is still among the city's best chocolate hits, finicky Proust might now reserve his affections for macaron pastries served at historic Ladurée (16 rue Royal. 01-42-60-21-79) just a short walk away
