$$$, Bistro, Montparnasse
Fodor's Review:
In a studied environment that might have sprung from the pages of Elle Decor, this bistro entices with an unusual menu that changes often. Once split into two sections -- "tradition" and "discovery" -- the menu now focuses chiefly on discovery, with complex dishes such as chicken strips tandoori-style served with coriander-braised green cabbage and caraway-flavored rutabaga, followed by equally elaborate desserts. Culinary experimentation happily works here, and service is friendly. Low-fat recipes are signaled with a double asterisk on the menu.
