Fodor's Review:
The Chopin recalls its 1846 birthdate with a creaky-floored lobby and aged woodwork. The basic but comfortable rooms overlook the Passage Jouffroy's quaint toy shops and bookstores or the rooftops of Paris, but none face the busy nearby streets. The decor leans toward oppressive: Salmon walls, green carpets, and repro-antique furniture. The best rooms end in "7" (No. 407 overlooks the Grévin Wax Museum's ateliers), while those ending in "2" tend to be darkest and smallest (but cheapest).
