Vienne

Vienne

One of Roman Gaul's most important towns, Vienne became a religious and cultural center under its count-archbishops in the Middle Ages and retains considerable historic charm despite its being a major road and train junction. The tourist office anchors Cours Brillier in the leafy shadow of the Jardin Public (Public Garden). The EUR 6 Billet Intermusée admits you to all local monuments and museums over 48 hours. Even better, the EUR 4.60 Billet-Pass admits you to three museums and the Théâtre Roman. Both are available at the tourist office or at the first site that you visit.
