Lyon was facinating, but well worth a side trip too is the Pleateau des Glieres near to Annecy and the musium of the Morett in Thones. In July each year on the plateau there is a (son et lumiere)sound and vision of this reacent history finishing with an amazing firworks disply (weather permiting) as the plateau is 1300mts high.If you are a hiker you can visit any time of year, whatever the season and just imagin yourself back 60 years in time!!
