A sister museum to the Arts Décoratifs collection, this is a fascinating exhibition of the woven-arts industries that were so crucial to Lyon's fame and fortune. Highlights include Asian tapestries from as early as the fourth century, Turkish and Persian carpets from the 16th to the 18th century, and 18th-century Lyon silks, so lovingly depicted in many portraits of the time and still the stars of many costume exhibits mounted throughout the world today.
