The world's highest cable car soars 12,000 feet up the Aiguille du Midi, providing positively staggering views of 15,700-foot Mont Blanc, Europe's loftiest peak. Be prepared for a lengthy wait, both going up and coming down -- and wear warm clothing.

- Open: May-Sept., daily 8-4:45; Oct.-Apr., daily 8-3:45

If it is open to travel acros the glacier into Italy and back via the tunnel de Mont Blanc is a must.In the summer on the Italian side you cand discover the highest botanical site in Europ!.
