The Beaujolais region has hundreds of village caves—cellars where wine is made, stored, and sold. Make sure the ones you pick have dégustation signs out front. Signs that say vente en direct (sold directly from the property) and vente au détail (sold by the bottle) are also good indicators. Look for the town's co-op caveau (wine cellar), where you can pay a few euros to taste all the wine you want.
