Fodor's Review

Reopened in 2013 after a stunning four-year renovation, the town's excellent Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie displays finds ranging from Gallo-Roman votive objects unearthed in the neighboring Halatte Forest to the building's own excavated foundations (visible in the basement); note the superb stone heads bathed in half light. Upstairs, paintings include works by Manet's teacher, Thomas Couture (who lived in Senlis) and charming naïve florals by the town's own Séraphine de Senlis.
