Aigle Noir

Fodor's Review:

This may be Fontainebleau's costliest hotel, but you can't go wrong if you request one of the rooms overlooking either the garden or the palace. They have late-18th- or early-19th-century reproduction furniture, creating a Napoleonic vibe. Sadly the excellent restaurant, Le Beauharnais, no longer exists. Pros: Napoleonic ambiance; great location opposite château. Cons: no restaurant; no room service Friday or Saturday.
