Cross Avenue de St-Cloud and head to Avenue de Paris; its breadth of 120 yards makes it wider than the Champs-Élysées, and its buildings are just as grand and even more historic. Cross the avenue and return toward the château. Avenue de Paris leads down to Place d'Armes, a vast sloping plaza usually filled with tourist buses. Facing the château are the Trojan-size royal stables.
