Fodor's Review

The King's Potager—a 6-acre, split-level fruit-and-vegetable garden—was created in 1683 by Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinye. Many rare heirloom species are painstakingly cultivated here by a team of gardeners. You can sample their wares or pick up a bottle of fruit juice, jam, or honey—all made from the king's produce. Perfumed "Potager du Roi" candles, sold at the delightful boutique, make a nice souvenir.
