This atmospheric, family-run, 19th-century inn is on 2 acres of leafy parkland, which the better rooms—No. 9 is the largest—overlook; the interior is 1930s style, with oak beams in many rooms, and Jean-Paul Karampournis's rustic restaurant (reservations essential; no dinner Sunday, closed Monday), with its large open terrace, serves traditional French cuisine such as hare with mushrooms and lamb with eggplant.
