Palais des Nobles Douzes
Palais des Nobles Douzes Review
The vaulted, colonnaded galleries of the Palais des Nobles Douzes (situated next to the Palais des Gouverneurs Genois, or Genoese Governors' Palace) houses the Musée d'Ethnographie Corse (Corsican Ethnographic Museum). Don't miss the Casablanca, a French submarine used by the Resistance with swastikas on the turret representing downed Nazi aircraft. The building itself has been undergoing modifications since the 18th century, when it used as the meeting place for rural commune leaders. Today, it's function is less political as the working office for delegates representing the region's cultural heritage.
