Palais National (National Palace) Review

The Palais National, just outside the citadel and above place Gaffori, is the ancient residence of Genoa's representatives in Corsica and was the seat of the Corsican parliament from 1755 to 1769 where Paoli set up his government for independent Corsica. With the re-establishment and inauguration of a new university in Corte in 1981, the Palais National became the intellectual heart for the Center of Corsican Studies and now houses its library.
