This lively brasserie opposite Beauvais cathedral offers sturdy if unadventurous fare (duck, steak, and the like) along with a wide variety of fresh seafood. There is a good selection of copiously sized salads, too. The dining room has light wooden tables and bright modern pictures, but the openwork metal chairs can be a bit tough on the back, so mark this down as a lunch spot rather than a place to linger over dinner. Ask for a table under the glass-capped veranda or
on the sidewalk terrace if the weather's good.
