Château de la Berchère Review

Originally a medieval fortification and a battlefield during the Franco-Prussian wars, this majestic château offers elegant rooms that are simply but tastefully furnished—though some, especially No. 29, with its massive four-poster bed and marble fireplace, are in a much grander vein. The grounds are impeccable, and even include a private runway.
