This magnificent 17th-century château, with its 13th-century moat and towers, has been in the Germain family for five generations. The wines are frequently found in cellars of France's top restaurants and though drop-in tastings are possible, a stay in one of the chambres d'hôtes, combined with the cellar visit and comprehensive tasting (three reds and three whites) of the estate's wines, is a rare and exceptional experience. The château is open from Easter to the end
of October; up to 16 people can be accommodated overall in five luxurious bedrooms (€175–€220) overlooking the vineyard, park, or tower. English is spoken and pets are welcome.
