This half-timber hotel, in the pedestrian zone near the church of St-Jean, has changed hands recently and the good-size rooms and modern decor have undergone a refreshing and colorful transformation, the white-and-pastel-color walls contrasting tastefully with multihued furnishings. Some rooms are connected by a path running through the second floor's tree-filled atrium. Black-leather chairs and mirrored walls in the bar contrast rudely with the wicker and plants of an adjoining room, but have a drink here anyway. Pros: good-size rooms; friendly service; interesting bar. Cons: rooms are overheated and some get street noise.
