Château de Chorey Review
Complete with storybook tower, mansard roofs, and elegant white shutters, a stay here at this authentique and romantic family winery about 2 km (1 mi) north of Beaune really allows you to soak up the flavor of the vineyards. The building itself is extremely photogenic and a lovely example of domestic Burgundian architecture. Guest rooms are up a circular stone staircase; furnishings are from the attic. Though it's a bit rustic and casual (less so now that the dining and sitting rooms have been renovated), it's the kind of place where you can open the windows and let the country air, perfumed by grapes, waft in. A good breakfast is served and a lunch/wine tasting is available by reservation Monday through Saturday, but no other meals; try their wine before going out to eat in Beaune.
