On a small square in the lower part of town is this rambling hotel, completely renovated in a traditional style in 2006. A terrace out front welcomes you; the good-size rooms have traditional chintzes. The comfortable restaurant is a popular spot with locals, who come for the regional fare, such as lamb confit with eggplant fries and smoked ham hocks dressed in a rich Chablis reduction. Pros: big rooms with balconies; good food; friendly staff; great location. Cons: some rooms get street noise.
