To many, the liquid highlight of a visit to Burgundy is a visit to the Marché aux Vins, where, in flickering candlelight, and armed with your own tastevin (which you get to keep as a souvenir), you can taste a tongue-tingling, mind-spinning array of regional wines in the atmospheric setting of barrel-strewn cellars and vaulted passages. The selection runs from young Beaujolais to famous old Burgundies, and there's no limit on how much you drink.
