If you've time and are in a martial frame of mind, check out Fort de Latte nearby, a 17th-century fort linked to the mainland by a drawbridge. Then head west, past fine beaches at Pléhérel and Sables-d'Or-les-Pins, to pick up D786 and skirt around the Bay of St-Brieuc.
