Auberge de la Commanderie Review

Close to the ramparts, this 19th-century two-story hotel has a gorgeous, white-shuttered facade that blends in beautifully with St-Émilion's stonework—public rooms overlook some vineyards, and guest rooms range from tiny and barebones to large and decorated with colorful prints; some have exposed historic stonework. Request Rooms 2, 3, 7, or 8, as they overlook the small garden.
