Fodor's Expert Review Chez Hansi

Named after the Norman Rockwell--like illustrator whose clog-wearing folk children adorn most of the souvenirs of Alsace, this hypertraditional beamed tavern serves excellent down-home classics such as quiche Lorraine, choucroute, and pot-au-feu. Offerings are prepared and presented with a sophisticated touch, despite the friendly waitresses' folksy dirndls; prices are surprisingly reasonable, too, given the quality of the food and the eatery's location in the Vieille Ville.
