Fodor's Review

Marlene Dietrich and Spanish opera star Montserrat Caballé are just two of the famous guests who have feasted at this culinary temple, where chef Marc Haeberlin marries Alsatian cuisine with Asian nuances. The impressive results include salmon soufflé, saddle of Aveyron lamb, and showstoppers like le homard Prince Vladimir (lobster with shallots braised in Champagne and crème fraîche). Japanese-Alsatian flair is particularly apparent in such dishes as the quail maki. The kitchen's touch is incredibly light, so you'll have room left for masterful desserts like a warm, gooey chocolate cake with caramelized mango and vanilla ice cream.
