Marlene Dietrich and Spanish opera star Montserrat Caballé are just two of the famous guests who have feasted at this culinary temple, where Chef Marc Haeberlin marries Alsatian cuisine with Asian nuances. The impressive results include salmon soufflé, saddle of Aveyron lamb, and showstoppers like le homard Prince Vladimir (lobster with shallots braised in Champagne and crème fraîche). Japanese-Alsatian flair is particularly apparent in such dishes as steamed sole served with a creamy wasabi sauce. The kitchen's touch is incredibly light, so you'll have room left for masterful desserts like a dome of chestnut mousse with an Eglantine rose filling.
