Luosto Review
Lapland is dominated by great moorlike expanses. The modern tourist center of Luosto, 105 km (65 mi) north of Rovaniemi, is in the heart of the moor district of southern Lapland—an area of superb hiking, mountain cycling, orienteering, and skiing. If you don't have a car, a daily bus makes the 60-km (37-mi) trip from Kemijärvi to Luosto. Kemijarvi is 87 km (54 mi) north of Rovaniemi and can be reached via local train.
