Fodor's Review

Topped with a copper dome, the church looks like a half-buried spaceship from the outside. It's really a modern Lutheran church carved into the rock outcrops below. The sun shines in from above, illuminating a stunning interior with birch pews, modern pipe organ, and cavernous walls. Ecumenical and Lutheran services in various languages are held throughout the week.

Disappointing - 06/08/05

It is amazing that a church can be made out of rock that was blasted away. However, the church is just ordinary inside. The review that I read made the church nicer than it really is. While this is a marvel of modern architecture, don't have high expectations of a when visiting this sight. One plus is there is no admission charge
