This Renaissance-style former office building in the heart of the city has been adapted into a first-class hotel by renowned Finnish architects Ilmo Valjakka and Pervin Imaditdin. Rooms and suites come in three styles: Nordic, with light wood furnishings; classic, with darker wood furnishings; and Italian, with sunny bright colors and bold designs. The courtyardlike main restaurant, the Pääkonttori (headquarters), is brightened by a large skylight. The sophisticated Lasibaari bar has beautiful stained-glass windows. Rates drop considerably on weekends.
