Mannerheim Museo (Mannerheim Museum)

Mannerheim Museo (Mannerheim Museum) Review

Marshal Karl Gustaf Mannerheim (1867-1951) was a complex character sporting a varied résumé: he served as a high-level official in the Russian czar's guard, was a trained anthropologist who explored Asia, and is revered as a great general who fought for Finland's freedom and later became the country's president. The Mannerheim Museo is inside the great Finnish military leader's well-preserved family home and exhibits his letters and personal effects. European furniture, Asian art, and military medals and weaponry are on display.
